What I've been up to
The massive bookcase is closing in on final. I don't think I would choose this design again.
The workshop

The Bookcase - it's eight feet tall by four feet wide by 11 inches deep.

They're fun to built at least once. Bookcases are surprisingly difficult. Well, at least the six foot tall ones are. I don't know that I would do it again either. Though I did it without a pre-existing plan. Probably not the best idea.
I didn't use preexisting plans either, though I don't think that would have helped much. In retrospect I wish I'd stained everything beforehand and then just did touch up after it was assembled, staining on a ladder is a pain.
